On October 6, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum hosted sixth graders on an art appreciation field trip from the Daisan Elementary School in Hachioji. The visitors viewed “From the Renaissance to the 20th Century—500 Years of Western Paintings” exhibition, organized into small groups with TFAM curators and students from nearby Teikyo University and Soka University serving as docents. The visitors then browsed the artwork on display for “The Great Silk Road World Heritage Exhibition: Honoring 45 Years of Peace and Amity between Japan and China” on their own, taking notes and making sketches as they did so.
