Admission fee

Discount Admission for Challenged Individuals and Attendant.
Challenged individuals need only to present their Japanese certificate of disability status at the TFAM reception counter and they, along with one accompanying person, are eligible for a 50% discount on their admission ticket.
No advance notice is required.

TFAM’s Barrier-Free Facilities and Services

Inclusive Restroom

Each floor is equipped with an Inclusive Restroom designed for all visitors,including those using wheel-chairs, ostomate users, visitors requiring assistance, and those accompanied by young children.
Universal seats are located in the multipurpose restrooms on the 1st floor of the new building and the 3rd floor of the main building.

Wheelchair and Stroller Rental

Wheelchairs and strollers are available for visitors to borrow free of charge. If needed, please ask our staff at the Entrance Hall on the first floor of the New Wing or at the lobby on the third floor of the Main Building.
If you have any questions regarding the use or operation of a wheelchair, our Universal Service Staff will be pleased to assist you.

Step-Free and Fully Accessible Facilities

The museum is designed with a barrier-free, step-free layout throughout the buildings.
Slopes are installed at all entrances to ensure comfortable access for visitors using wheelchairs, elderly visitors, and all others. We are committed to providing facilities and services that are easy for everyone to use.

Accessible Drop-off and Parking

There is a drop-off place for wheelchair users near the New Wing entrance of the museum. If you require assistance, please reach out to our staff.
There are two parking spaces marked with the wheelchair symbol (international symbol) in the parking lot next to the main museum building. These spaces are reserved for wheelchair users, people with disabilities, those requiring nursing care, pregnant women, and others. The entrances and exits near these parking spaces are also barrier-free.

Assistance Dogs Welcome

Visitors with Guide, Service, or Hearing Dogs Are Welcome.
No advance notice is required.

Visitors Accompanied by Infants

Free stroller rental.
Several strollers are available. We provide them free of charge at the entrance.
The museum has a spacious Kids’ Room　with play equipment, toys, and picture　books, where visitors accompanied by young children can relax comfortably.
A nursing room is also available within the Kids’ Room.
Hot water is available free of charge from the tea dispenser in the lounge.

Diaper changing tables are also available at the multipurpose restrooms.
A number of private restrooms are equipped with diaper changing tables and seats for small children.

First-Aid Room

If you are feeling unwell, please inform the nearest staff member. You are welcome to rest in the First-Aid Room.
Those who wish to feed their baby are also welcome to use the room.
Please note that we do not provide any medicines.

Communication Board

For visitors with hearing or speech difficulties, communication boards are available at the reception desks on the first floor of the New Wing and the third floor of the Main Building for written communication and assistance.

Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) — medical devices designed to restore heart function by delivering an electric shock in the event of cardiac arrest — are installed in the entrance hall on the first floor of the New Wing and in the lobby on the third floor of the Main Building.
The museum is staffed by trained personnel who have completed advanced life-saving certification and received specialized training in CPR and AED operation procedures.
