Francisco Goya is considered one of the most iconic Spanish painters and printmakers of his time, a peer to such fellow artistic printmakers as Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt. Captured in his four major print collection - Caprices,”
“Disasters of War,” “Bullfighting” and “The Follies”—are stark and powerful expressions of Goya’s ire against social injustice and the brutality of war, as well as his profound insight into the inner depths of the human soul. This exhibition features 215 works from the Goya print collection owned by TFAM, providing viewers with an all-inclusive portrait of the artist and his stunning talent and allure that transcends the ages.
