On February 6, 2026, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum kicked off its Hina-matsuri festival, a traditional Japanese doll display celebrating Girls’ Day held on March 3. What makes the TFAM event special is its scale and imaginative presentation. Our museum expanded its collection by accepting the dolls that families in the local community whose daughters have outgrown the festival and were destined to be disposed. We are also displaying the beautifully crafted figurines in unconventional ways, including a stunning reimagination of the time-honored tiered doll stand. As a result, TFAM has filled its entrance lobby with a glorious show of dolls, dolls and more dolls—one that can be enjoyed by people of every age, gender and nationality. The Hina gala will continue until March 22 during normal operating hours from 10:00 to 17:00 (admission will close at 16:30).
