Princess Takamado visits museum

On August 29, Princess Hisako Takamado of the Japanese Imperial Family paid a courtesy call on the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum. On hand to greet her was His Excellency Heri Akhmadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, TFAM Managing Director Yoshiro Shimizu and other museum officials. Together, they viewed “Exhibitions of Embassies, Part II: Pathways to Cultural Exchange with the World,” the current iteration displaying works on loan from the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo. Princess Takamado later toured “Frontiers of Impressionism: Paintings from the Worcester Art Museum” and “From the Renaissance to the 20th Century—500 Years of Western Paintings” as well as “American Photographs: Origin-Story of Modern Photography” exhibitions.
