On August 14, His Excellency Dr. Aurelijus Zykas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Japan, called on the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum. He was welcomed by TFAM Managing Director Yoshiro Shimizu and other museum officials. The ambassador later viewed TFAM’s primary exhibition, “Frontiers of Impressionism: Paintings from the Worcester Art Museum” and “Exhibitions of Embassies, Part II: Pathways to Cultural Exchange with the World,” the current iteration displaying works on loan from the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo. He then toured “From the Renaissance to the 20th Century—500 Years of Western Paintings” and “American Photographs: Origin-Story of Modern Photography” exhibitions.
