On July 17, students of Meiji University Hachioji Junior and Senior High School visited the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum. Ranging from first-year junior high schoolers to third-year high school kids, the 28 pupils split up into four groups, with students in nearby Soka University’s art appreciation course and other university interns serving as docents. Among the topics discussed were the technique and materials used in the works on display, as well as a brief biography of their respective artists. Following that, the Hachioji students spent time on their own viewing the exhibition, “Frontiers of Impressionism: Paintings from the Worcester Art Museum.”
