OVERVIEW

Organized by the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum with the generous cooperation of the Royal Thai Family and the government of Thailand, “The Land of Gentle Smiles: Special Exhibition of the Photographs by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adjulyadej of Thailand” opened at TFAM in Japan in 1989. Given its favorable reception, it was held in the United States in 1990, followed by a United Kingdom tour in 1991.
