A large Victorian structure with a vast garden by the Thames River near London, Taplow Court boasts a storied history that dates back to the 7th century. Tokyo Fuji Art Museum’s “Treasures of Japanese Art” was held to commemorate the opening of the Oriental Gallery, which entered into a business partnership with TFAM, in Taplow Court’s main building. The Oriental Gallery was the second to exhibit some 80 works from the TFAM collection, including folding screens paintings, lacquer ware, feudal arms and armor, and ukiyoe woodblock prints, following a showing in Paris.
