Tokyo Fuji Art Museum’s “The Eternal Treasures of Japanese Art” that opened at the Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris was particularly meaningful in that it was held as a reciprocal exhibition to “Masterpieces of French Art,” the special exhibition commemorating TFAM’s dedication in 1982. The latter event was made possible almost entirely through the generous services of French art critic René Huyghe, who also served as director of Jacquemart-André Museum. Some 110 works were on display in “The Eternal Treasures of Japanese Art,” the first exhibition of TFAM’s collection overseas.
