On August 10, 2025, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum held a special summer vacation concert to commemorate the showing of the “Tezuka Osamu Exhibit.” Violinist Hiroko Ishikawa, saxophonist Ryota Higashi and pianist and music arranger Fusako Hasegawa teamed up to perform theme songs from “Astroboy” and other famous animated classics created by one of Japan’s most renowned manga and anime creators. They also played scores from films and other musical pieces that influenced Tezuka’s creative artworks.
The “Tezuka Osamu Exhibit” features some 200 items on display, including manuscripts, video footage, documents and beloved mementos that Tezuka kept over the years.
