
On June 24, a private showing of the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum’s “The Great Silk Road World Heritage Exhibition: Honoring 45 Years of Peace and Amity between Japan and China” opened at the Ehime Museum of Art in the city of Matsuyama in Ehime prefecture. Among the TFAM officials attending the opening ceremony was Advisor Hirofumi Matsushita, Senior Director Akira Kaneko and Managing Director and Senior Executive Curator Yoshiro Shimizu. The exhibition features some 200 works drawn from the collections of 27 museums and art research institutes from a total of 11 locations across China, including 44 designated as first-tier national treasures by the People’s Republic of China, and will run until September 1.
