
On April 8, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum’s “The Great Silk Road World Heritage Exhibition: Honoring 45 Years of Peace and Amity between Japan and China” opened at the Tohoku History Museum in the city of Tagajo in Miyagi prefecture. Among the TFAM officials attending the opening ceremony was Advisor Akihiko Morishima, Senior Director Akira Kaneko and Managing Director Yoshiro Shimizu. The exhibition features some 200 works drawn from the collections of 27 museums and art research institutes from a total of 11 locations across China, including 44 designated as first-tier national treasures by the People’s Republic of China, and will run until June 9.
