On January 13, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum hosted fourth graders on an art appreciation field trip from Yugi Chuo Elementary School in Hachioji, Tokyo. Splitting into small groups of ten, the students viewed a wall-sized reproduction of the Buddhist art discovered in the Mogao Caves on the Silk Road. They also took part in a “Gallery Talk” led by students from nearby Teikyo University and Soka University serving as docents while touring the “From the Renaissance to the 20th Century—500 Years of Western Paintings” exhibition.
