On October 27, His Excellency Dr. Clemens von Goetze, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Japan, and his wife, Dr. Sonja von Goetze, visited the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum. On hand to welcome the couple was TFAM Board of Trustees Chair Kazuhiko Oshida, Director Akira Gokita and Executive Director Akira Kaneko. The ambassador and his wife viewed the museum’s primary exhibition, “Ancient Egypt—The Creation of the World,” as well as “From the Renaissance to the 20 Century—500 Years of Western Paintings” exhibition and “Through the Looking Lens: Ancient Ruins of the World” photo exhibition.
The “Ancient Egypt” exhibition features some 130 works selected from the superlative collection of the Egyptian Museum of Berlin.
