“World ‘Cats’ Travelogue” exhibition opens; Mitsuaki Iwago visits museum

The exhibition, “Mitsuaki Iwago’s World ‘Cats’ Travelogue,” opened at the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum on June 1. An internationally renowned wildlife photographer, Mitsuaki Iwago is the first in Japan to have his work appear twice on the cover of the National Geographic magazine, and one of his favorite motifs has been cats. This exhibition features 209 of his works of felines captured on film from every corner of the globe.

On May 31, the photographer visited the museum on the eve of the exhibition’s premiere. “Mitsuaki Iwago’s World ‘Cats’ Travelogue” runs until August 29, Sunday.
