Model for Warhol work visits Western painting exhibition

Michiko Hasegawa, who was a model in one of the “Woman” series portraits created by Andy Warhol, visited the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum with her husband, Tokushichi Hasegawa, the president of Galerie Nishido, Japan’s oldest galleries of Western art, based in Ginza; Mrs. Hasegawa serves as the gallery’s vice president. She had come to see her portrait for the first time in 11 years.

The work is part of “From TFAM’s Collection: One of Japan’s Largest-Ever Exhibitions of Western Paintings,” which features two works by the American icon of pop art.
