The Tokyo Fuji Art Museum has begun exhibiting works by students from five public schools in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including an elementary school and special support education school, from March 1. Under TFAM’s One Square Meter Masterpiece Museum program, participating school children have copied and combined portions of such renowned works as Picasso’s “Guernica”, Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” and Hokusai’s “Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido” into art pieces measuring one square meter each. The completed pieces will be on display in TFAM’s corridor gallery until March 31.
