“Art Exhibition of Shinichi Miura: The World of Paintings of the Moon and Flowers and Birds” by the traditional Japanese painter and former curator of the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum featured some 70 of his representative works, from his early pieces to his latest six-panel folding screens. Based on a motif of nature and her eloquent purity, Miura’s paean to life provides a fascinating glimpse into the poetic world of classical Japanese painting.
