Mitsuaki Iwago is an internationally renowned wildlife photographer. Iwago is the first Japanese photographer whose work has twice appeared on the cover of “National Geographic.” One of his lifelong motifs has been cats, with his photographs of these animals featured in ongoing series in major Japanese periodicals. The exhibition “Mitsuaki Iwago’s World ‘Cats’ Travelogue” showcases 209 images of cats Iwago took in 15 regions around the world. “Cats have spread to the world with humans, so local cats resemble local humans,” said Iwago. Viewers are sure to enjoy the momentary looks of cats around the world and the wondrous world seen through them.
