OVERVIEW

The special exhibition, “Palaces in Austria,” introduces the splendor of Austrian culture and ascendancy of the illustrious House of Habsburg and its mighty empire by focusing on the castles from the 18th century under Empress Maria Theresa to the 19th century under Empress Elisabeth. The exhibition featured some 200 paintings, arts and crafts, tableware, furniture and jewelry of that period and was made possible through the full and generous cooperation of the Imperial Furniture Collection.
