Made possible through the generous cooperation and support of the Kingdom of Belgium and Flemish Ministry of Culture, “The 17th Century, the Golden Age of Flemish Paintings” exhibited some 110 works from the collections of Belgium’s finest museums, including The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp and The Rubens House. Among the pieces displayed were those by Rubens, Antoon van Dyck, Jacob Jordaens and Jan Brueghel the Elder, master painters of the golden age of Flemish Baroque art that followed Belgium’s booming transit trade in the 17th century.
