SUMMARY

Indiana produced clear and simple visual icons that look like neon signs in the form of letters, such as EAT, LOVE, and DIE. The colors colliding with each other are reduced to sharply outlined shapes, and the entire picture seems to have become a symbolic slogan or mark. With the LOVE, Indiana established a firm reputation as a pop art artist, and consequently continued to make a number of his work LOVE.
