In principle, TFAM will charge a fee for photo sessions for a publication or filming session for a TV segment that do not have as the primary purpose public relations value for the museum. The TFAM media liaison will differ according to the purpose of the shoot.
Shooting Artwork: In principle, TFAM will not provide any piece for a photo or filming session in the interests of artwork preservation. We ask that a previously taken photograph or video footage that TFAM provides be used instead. Please see our guidelines on proprietary TFAM images in the section regarding TFAM image rentals below.
If the public relations and/or public information value has been determined to be sufficient to warrant TFAM cooperation, our museum will approve media requests to cover TFAM in a TV segment, publication or media website (excluding that of private individuals) under the following conditions:
Should your media organization meet the criteria listed above, then TFAM will approve of photo/filming sessions of the museum’s interior and exterior, as well as exhibited works (although limited solely to shots of the relevant exhibition hall and background images). If needed, TFAM will also accept requests for interviews with a curator or senior representative of the museum.
Please contact our Office of Public Relations for further information. After processing your request for a photo/filming session and/or interview, we will contact your office of TFAM’s decision and, if necessary, to schedule the optimal date and time for the session.
Requests to cover TFAM will be approved for use by a TV segment, publication or media website (excluding that of private individuals) under the following conditions:
Should your media organization meet the criteria listed above, TFAM will provide the requesting organization with PR photos and/or video footage of the museum’s exterior, exhibition hall shots and works on display free of charge.
Note: If your media organization requires rental TFAM images that do not pertain to purposes listed under the conditions above, please contact DNP Art Communications, Co., Ltd.
